the bangor coastal challenge wil run on sunday 21 june. closing date for entrys is friday 19 june. there are already half a dozen roe valley members signed up to go. this has always been a popular run with the club, so get signed up now if you want to go.

six roe valley members braved the rain for the bangor coastal challenge. paul, kyle and blaine cole, joe pickett, donal mcnicoll and myself. donal was there with friends but did take time out to say hello. the remaining five of us headed off together along the coast out of bangor and it was'nt long before blaine took off upping the pace (again!!) at this point kyle headed off on his own. he recond that 20mph was a bit slow for him. the four left battered on in the rain fuelled up with gels, bars and of course jelly babies. passing group after group we finally finished the 61miles in a respectable 3hrs 15mins averaging 18.01mph. it did stop raining eventually when we reached the glenshane on the way home.
