Hi All,

The first trailquest of the Trailblazer league takes place on Sunday 22nd March. The start is at Ervey Wood, just off the Glenshane Road. Registration is from 10.30am. Further details can be obtained from the link below:

http://trailblazersmtbo.wordpress.com/event-details/round-1-claudy-22nd-march-2009/

I believe that I will be taking part in a team with Keith, Aaron and Adrian. The organiser, Des Fletcher, would like you to email your team members' names and a team name to him before the event. His email address is contained within the link above.

By the way if anyone is interested in taking my place at the Thursday spin class on Thurs 12th March they are welcome to it. I will be in Scotland cheering on the Irish rugby team on their way to grandslam glory!

Cheers

Bobby

I finished 3rd with 458 points which was my highest ever trailquest total. Peter's team finished 1st with 580 points which amounts to a superhuman effort- they only missed one control point. The course was extremely hilly and the weather was very windy which amounted to a very challenging cycle- my legs cramped up and I felt absolutely busted afterwatrds. I guess I'll just have to keep training and start getting out on your weekend road spins. I'm in the process of buying a road bike for around 600- has anyone any suggestions- I hear that Boardman bikes are good value?

Round 3......!

Theres no time to lose, the An Creagan event is fast approaching and
event planner Ivan Park is serving up an excellent course in the very
pretty area around Creggan in Co Tyrone. To book your map simply send
your team details to blazersentries@aol.com You can see who you will be up against on the entries page.
