Kyle Cromie and Declan McCartney are riding the Rás Dhun na nGall - 4 stages over 3 days. On last nights stage Kyle finished 24th leading the second group home. Good luck to the both of them over the weekend. Marcus is also riding and should be in with a chance of a top overall finish.

Both Kyle and Declan rode great time trials in stage 2. Kyle was 11th and Declan 24th.

Kyle has just finished 10th on 54 mile stage 3. Declan finished safely further back. Declan missed three weeks training with an injury in the run up to the Ras.

Marcus Christie has won the race overall. Kyle finished 51st overall with 140 riders starting and over 30 not making it to the finish. Declan did not start the last days stage the injury he had been carrying finally taking its toll. The Ras is very well organised by the Four Masters club and the competition standard is incredibly high with riders from all over Ireland taking part. Well done.

Kyle deserves a lot of credit for the way he rode the final stage. All set for a probably top twenty finish but realising Marcus had no team rider support Kyle sacrificed his own finishing position to help protect Marcus’s slim 17 second lead. Kyle set a blistering pace for the first half of the stage to the brutal Glengesh climb. Kyle lost touch over the top with the leaders but time trialled back onto the bunch only for his chain to come off. Great riding and his efforts were noted by a lot of observers. Rory Devlin North Pole CC also rallied to help protect Marcus - it's great to see all the North West riders pulling together for a memorable final result.
