Turbo Training !!!!

Hi every body at Roe Valley hope you all had a good christmas. Now the real work starts putting the miles in and riding into a head wind and into the gutter but its all good fun
As we all know any way what about that great past time TURBO TRAINING . I forgot what pain it involved but hey no pain no gain if you want them 24,s or 23,s -22,s or even a 21 if any of us are doing a turbo training properly. If that is possible even when you are counting down your revs to the minute.
Any way keep the chain tight and be safe out there .

Wouldnt suit everyone it helps if you like tinkering with computers. I have joined up with others over broadband and it works well so maybe in a few years everyone will be riding together in the winter in the real bad weather.

The guy in the vid cant have been trying too hard his windows aren't steamed up.

Have yet to use my new rollers, well tried them for 2 mins - messing around. I have forgotten how difficult they are. Need to find the motivation chaps.......

Yes would be the answer to that and a lot less painfull.

Oh stevie dont sprint on those new rollers like a certain club member when upon getting a new set of rollers many years ago had half the club lined up in his hall to see the wonderous new contraption. Only then to pop the front wheel over the front roller at 30mph and go straight over the bars into the front door!

I think it'll be sometime and many years of training and catch up before I would ever come close to beating Benji again. The man is as fit as a fiddle even though he moans about being old. He takes part in the local sportiffs and runs half marathons. Got one of those cateye all-in-one heart monitors and computer.......just so I know how unfit I actually am.

I am expecting to fall off........you know what I was like re. falling off bikes. However I am supposedly older and wiser now and steadier?

PS bought a Mercian 653 low pro near Derby and I am going to rebuild it as well as the short
wheel base Time trial Mercian which you rode one year!

Cheers again for the photo Chris, will definately do something with it. Yes I recognise that Mercian on your flickr page. Did George sell it to you? I remember selling the frame and the Doran special wheels to him in 1994. I then bought the dyna-tech/raleigh titanium frame with some of the proceeds. Hope you are all getting ready for the new season!
