We had a good day in the Cam forest and RVCC members were there in force. In rain and sleet Marcus Christie led from the start with Johnathon Dempsey and the field strung out behind. After one lap Marcus went clear and at the finish was the first bike home in second place behind a runner with Dempsey in second with Roe Valleys Peter Cole in an excellent third place. Most finished the event but Mervyn Marshall retired with brake failure and Sammy Moore got his first taste of competition and did well to complete the course.Roe Valley schoolboy Kyle Cole rode strong to finish mid field with a lot of starters behind him. Most finished the day at Peter Jacks home where the hospitality from Sharon and Peter was second to none !

Really terrible conditions on Sunday. We had a strong turn out of RVCC members which was great - i know Peter Jack really appreciated it. Peter Cole had a superb ride and could easily been second had he known he was running so high up the order - he just rode in at the end thinking he was 7th or 8th. Kyle Cole put in a very impressive ride and i don't know how he managed to ride with glasses on throughout - i couldn't see with glasses or without. (look at flickr when i get the pics up all will become clear). Sammy and Adrian did themselves proud by going the distance in their first ever race in such testing conditions well done. Mervyn was unlucky to have a mechanical which ended the pain early.
