Mary and myself did the Tour of Malin Head. We got started dry but the weather closed in and it was very wet - not too cold though. 77 riders took part and the North Pole C.C. went out of their way to make everyone feel very welcome - highly recomended. 60 miles in stunning surroundings on roads with very few cars.

joe, harry, kyle, brian, ian (brians bro), gerry and myself turned out for the bangor coastal challenge. the day started off well (except for harry who had to make his own breakfast) until the starter called everyone forward then it started to rain, and rain it did for the whole 62 miles. but spirits were good and everyone ploughed on, things could'nt get much worse, except for harry. not enough stew at portaferry, then not enough ice cream at greyabbey, although he was smiling back in bangor when joe and i left as he tucked into a big burger (did i mention that he was for a barbeque that evening). still a good day out and around 700 cyclists took part
