well i think we have found a new challenge for the touring calender. around 20 riders from the roe valley (some club members, some not) turned up for lap the lough 09.
after an early rise most riders met at the bells hill cerpark for 6 30am and five minutes later a convoy of five vans set off for kinnego harbour. after a short stop in dungiven to wait for paul cole of we went again, this time with six vans and one left behind. after some racing for the front frankie murray took the lead and everyone else just tucked in behind. on arrival everyone got signed in picked up their t shirt and goody bag and then all got split up.
the weather was kind enough to start with, dry, warm but cloudy and then just after lunch the heavens opened, wet still warm and cloudier.this did'nt put of anyone and all arrived back safely a bit wetter and hungrier than they left.
have'nt heard all the stories yet but i'm sure there will be some to tell (hey sammy). hopefully we will see the replies, watch this space.
well done, to young christopher who pulled george home and also paul ferris and chris hunt and any of the other thursday night guys who started this year, great acheivement.
