Irish Road Race Championship

Ulster riders were in the thick of the action in the Junior race but unfortunately none made the podium. Strabane’s Marcus Christie (Usher) made an heroic effort to lift the title but was caught in the closing miles by Sam Bennett (Carrick -Dan Morrisssey), Charles Prendergast (Mayo Wheelers) and Mark Hennigan (South Dublin). These three crossed the line in that order with Christie finishing in 4th spot. Cycling Ulster riders took the next 4 places in Leo McAllister (Ballymena), Peter Wilson (Maryland), Peter Williams (Juiced Orchard) and Dane Dunlop (Lakeland CC). (from cycling ulster)
